NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Underground rap artist Pumpkinhead, a fixture of the underground for almost two decades, died on Tuesday at the age of 39.
A native of Park Slope, Brooklyn, Pumpkinhead, also known as Robert Alan Diaz, had his first breakthrough single with 1997's "Dynamic," collaborated with artists such as Jean Grae, Word A' Mouth, Sha Stimuli, Skyzoo, Ruste Juxx, Natural Resource, DCQ & Cess, DJ Bad Seed, Medina Green, Brooklyn Academy, and Immortal Technique.
According to Billboard, Diaz had just revealed that he was an expectant father. Billboard said that the cause of death was not revealed. – Staff Writers
